About Me:

Hey ya’ll! I’m Hannah Plaugher, the Secretary of Alpha Psi. I grew up on a small horse farm in Franklin, West Virginia where my interest in veterinary medicine started. I’m a 2014 graduate of West Virginia University where I obtained my B.S. in Animal and Nutritional Sciences. I have a strong passion for large animal medicine, with a special interest in equine. I have two dogs named Wrigley and June Bug who are both rescued weimaraners. In my spare time, I love to ride horses, take photos, be outside with my dogs, hunt, fish, and spend time with family. As secretary of Alpha Psi, my duty is to keep records of all meetings, and to keep in correspondence with the National Secretary and other chapters of Alpha Psi to inform them about the condition of the Rho Chapter. I also take photos of all events and functions and keep the Alpha Psi Rho Chapter website updated with current information. I’m very excited to be a member of the 2015-2016 Officer Team!

Hey y’all! My name is Haiden Rodgers and I’m the Social Chair of Alpha Psi at Mississippi State University. I’m originally from the flatlands of Mississippi, which some of you might know as the Delta. Here I experienced farm life which including showing cattle and swine in my local 4H Club and showing competitive reining horses for several years. As you can tell, since a young age, I’ve had a strong passion for veterinary medicine! Due to my agriculture and small animal practice background, my interest lies in mixed animal practice, because who can just pick one! I completed my B.S. at Mississippi State University in Animal and Dairy Sciences back in 2013, which further fueled my passion for mixed animal veterinary medicine. Unfortunately, I have no pets here in Starkville with me, but back home you can find my rotten cat Louie and my even more rotten horse Mississippi Whiskey (aka Miss Whiskey). As Social Chair, my responsibilities are to plan and organize all events that Alpha Psi hosts which include (but not limited to) our annual Halloween party, tailgates and various other events. I look forward to this new year in Alpha Psi and can’t wait to meet each and every one of you!

Hi Y’all!  I am Megan Pratt I grew up in Eagle, Wisconsin on a small hobby farm in the middle of America’s Dairyland. I attended University of Minnesota where I studied Animal Science and Agriculture Education. After completing my  Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree my hope is to work as a Food Animal Practitioner focusing on bovine medicine. In my free time I enjoy hiking, kayaking, and any adventure I can share with my dog Penny. As the Philanthropy Chair for Alpha Psi my responsibilities include finding new and innovated ways to support Rho Chapter’s charity organization Safe Haven For Pets through donations, financial and personnel means.   I cannot wait for all the Fun Times and Good Work happening this year within Alpha Psi!

Hey ya’ll! I’m Stephen Campbell and I am the President of Alpha Psi Rho Chapter and a 2012 graduate of Mississippi State University. I grew up in a small town, Collins, MS, on a family farm with a small commercial cow-calf operation and a total of 15 chicken houses. Over the years, the farm has changed to now operate a successful stocker operation, with the exception of a few chicken houses. If asked what motivated me to join the veterinary community, I’d have to say it was the combination of cow-calf and stocker experiences I’ve had over the course of my lifetime. To say the least, I’ve had plenty! My future goals are to fulfill both my passions by owning a private mixed animal practice with a small farming operation, so I definitely have my work cut out for me. As Alpha Psi Rho Chapter president, I am here to further the success of the fraternity and provide the best possible social atmosphere to the MSU College of Veterinary Medicine students. Thank you!

Greetings students, members and alumni.  I am Jason Hardiman, a native of Jackson, MS and a 2013 graduate of Jackson State University where I received my B.S. in Biology Pre- Veterinary Medicine with a minor in Chemistry.  This year, I serve as the Treasurer for this illustrious organization. Ever since I was a child, attending Mississippi State for veterinary school has always been dream of mine and being accepted was only the first hurdle of many to be able to practice a craft that I truly love.  While my love for animals is not limited to just one species, I plan to focus my career in Small animal medicine with a little Exotic and zoo animal medicine, as well.  I have two dogs:  Jackson, who is a German shepherd; and Angel, who is a German Shepherd/Chow mix.  As treasurer, it is my sole duty to oversee, report, and budget the general finances of the chapter.  With a team of head strong officers and a plethora of great ideas, I am more than ready to take the year on – FULL FORCE.  This is the “Year of Alpha Psi”, and we are equipped to welcome each and every old and new member!
