Welcome Back Party
Each year Alpha Psi hosts a welcome back party to help introduce incoming freshmen to the second, third, and fourth year classes. This year's welcome back party was held at the Wet & Wild water park at Oktibbeha County Lake. Many students came out and enjoyed a day full of volleyball, water slides, kayaking, grilling, and socializing.
Halloween Party
Halloween has always been a fun time of the year when everyone loves dressing up and showing off their costumes. In order to take everyone's minds off of school, Alpha Psi hosts a Halloween party each year and invites all of the veterinary students to show up in their Halloween attire. This year we will even be having a competition for the best costumes!
Happy Hour
Everyone knows that school is extremely stressful at times. Happy Hours are one way Alpha Psi attempts to ease some of that stress. At least once a month we schedule a Happy Hour at one of the many places around Starkville. This gives members a chance to gather together after a big test (or just a hard day) to eat, drink, socialize, and not think about school.
MSU Tailgates
Anyone who has ever attended a SEC college knows that tailgating is almost as important as the game itself. Every year Alpha Psi sets up a tailgate at all of the home football games for members to come and hang out. This is a great time for students from different years to meet each other, in addition to the occasional alumni.
National Convention
Alpha Psi's National Convention is held each year in Orlando, FL. This convention is usually held at the beginning of January and gives members a chance to interact with members from other schools and make connections with alumni from across the country.
Spring Formal
Spring Formal is hosted in the spring semester each year by Alpha Psi and SCAVMA. This event gives students the opportunity to take a break from school, get dressed up, and have a little fun.
Crawfish Boil
Towards the end of each spring semester Alpha Psi hosts a crawfish boil to give everyone a chance to hang out before the end of the school year. Students from all years and sometimes even a few teachers show up to eat and socialize with each other before everyone goes their different ways for the summer.
Dog Dash
Alpha Psi's dog dash is one of our philanthropic events held each spring. This is a 5K run/walk that gives people a chance to run with their pet if they wish to do so. Prizes are awarded at the end of the race to the fastest male, fastest female, and fastest pet.
